Founder
Given Mamaqua, the founder of MamaQua Records, is a seasoned drummer and music producer from Mpumalanga with nearly two decades of experience in the music industry. His professional journey began in 2006, and since then, he’s built a career filled with remarkable milestones. In 2015, Given toured Canada with Bongeziwe Mabandla, sharing South Africa’s rich musical heritage with international audiences. He also recorded an EP with UJU Band, showcasing his versatile production skills. By 2018, he was collaborating with the renowned Unathi Nkayi, further solidifying his place in the industry. Driven by a deep love for Mpumalanga’s creative potential, Given's vision is clear: to elevate Mpumalanga’s artistry to global heights. With years of experience, hands-on industry knowledge, and a passion for nurturing talent, he is dedicated to working closely with local artists to help them achieve success and recognition.
